Howe Lab

Background

I am a joint PhD student between the Howe Lab and the Zhang Lab in the Chemistry department. Prior to this I completed a BSc. In Biotechnology at Imperial College London which included a year of industrial research placement at Diamond Light Source.

Research

My research involves the development of new analytical electrochemistry and synthetic biology tools to probe and engineer photosynthetic electron transport in cyanobacteria. I am particularly focused on applying these tools to elucidate and enhance the extracellular electron transport activity of cyanobacteria which can be utilised for renewable energy generation in biophotovoltaic devices.
